1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Glis!

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Glis (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Glis mobile application (the “Service”).By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.If you are under 18 years of age, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including:

  • Valid email address
  • Secure password
  • Profile information (name, skin type, skincare goals, etc.)

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in suspicious activity.

3.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination:

  • Your access to premium features will cease immediately
  • Your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law

4. Medical and Skincare Disclaimers

4.1 Not Medical Advice

IMPORTANT: The Service is designed for informational and educational purposes only. The skin analysis, recommendations, and content provided through the Service:

  • ARE NOT intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any skin condition or disease
  • ARE NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • SHOULD NOT replace consultation with a qualified dermatologist or healthcare provider

4.2 No Doctor-Patient Relationship

Use of the Service does not create a doctor-patient relationship between you and Glis or any healthcare provider. Always seek the advice of a qualified dermatologist or physician with any questions regarding skin conditions or medical concerns.

4.3 Skin Analysis Technology

Our skin analysis technology uses algorithms and artificial intelligence to assess skin conditions. While we strive for accuracy:

  • Results may not be 100% accurate
  • Analysis is based on photographic data and self-reported information
  • Lighting conditions, photo quality, and other factors may affect results
  • You should not rely solely on our analysis for medical decisions

4.4 User Responsibility

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You use the Service at your own risk
  • You are solely responsible for decisions regarding skincare products and treatments
  • You will consult a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your skincare routine
  • You will discontinue use of any product that causes adverse reactions
  • You understand that individual results may vary

5. Subscriptions and Payment Terms

5.1 Premium Subscription

Glis offers premium subscription plans that provide access to enhanced features, including:

  • Unlimited skin analysis scans
  • Unlimited progress tracking
  • Advanced AI-powered skincare recommendations
  • Priority customer support

5.2 Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for new subscribers. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription at the then-current rate.

5.3 Subscription Billing

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You will be charged through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or at our sole discretion
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with advance notice

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through:

  • Your Apple App Store account settings (iOS)
  • Your Google Play Store account settings (Android)
  • The app’s subscription management section

Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

5.5 Refund Policy

All sales are final. We do not provide refunds or credits for:

  • Partial subscription periods
  • Unused premium features
  • Account termination mid-billing cycle

However, you may be entitled to a refund under applicable consumer protection laws. Contact support@glis.app to request a refund.

6. User Content and Data

6.1 Your Photos and Data

You retain ownership of all photos, images, and content you upload to the Service (“User Content”). By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Process and analyze your photos for skin analysis
  • Store your images securely for progress tracking
  • Use anonymized and aggregated data to improve our algorithms
  • Display your content to you within the Service

6.2 Data Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

6.3 Content Standards

You agree not to upload User Content that:

  • Violates any law or regulation
  • Infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
  • Contains malicious code or viruses
  • Is false, misleading, or deceptive
  • Contains explicit, offensive, or inappropriate material

6.4 Content Monitoring

We reserve the right to review, monitor, and remove User Content that violates these Terms, but we are not obligated to do so.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

7.1 Our Ownership

The Service, including all software, algorithms, designs, text, graphics, logos, and other content (excluding User Content), is owned by Glis and protected by intellectual property laws.

7.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

7.3 Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Service
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes without our written consent
  • Access the Service using automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.)
  • Create derivative works based on the Service

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Upload viruses, malware, or other malicious code
  • Harvest or collect user information without consent
  • Engage in any activity that could harm minors
  • Use the Service to spam, harass, or abuse others
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent limitations

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including:

  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store for subscriptions
  • Supabase for data storage and authentication
  • Superwall for subscription management

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and conditions. We are not responsible for third-party services or their content.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Security of data transmission

10.2 Limitation of Damages

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GLIS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or use
  • Damages arising from skin reactions, medical conditions, or health issues
  • Damages resulting from reliance on the Service or its recommendations
  • Damages exceeding the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim

10.3 Skin Reaction Disclaimer

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY ADVERSE REACTIONS, ALLERGIC RESPONSES, SKIN DAMAGE, OR OTHER HEALTH ISSUES THAT MAY RESULT FROM:

  • Following skincare recommendations provided by the Service
  • Using products suggested by the Service
  • Relying on skin analysis results
  • Any other use of the Service

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Glis, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your User Content
  • Any medical or health issues arising from use of the Service

12. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time
  • Change these Terms with or without notice
  • Limit or restrict access to certain features
  • Introduce new features or subscription tiers

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13.2 Arbitration Agreement

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in New York, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if they qualify.

13.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Glis regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
